D&T in Year 7

In Year 7 all students take Design & Technology, normally in sets of less than 16. The timetable allocation is three periods per two week rotation.

During the year three projects are undertaken covering the basics of Designing, Making and Evaluation in a range of media, with the emphasis being placed on foundation skills and knowledge, as well as enjoyment.

Work is marked frequently and in accordance with the departmental marking scheme; these marks form the basis of regular school wide tracking grades.
